Dr. David Kidder received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee. He has worked in a variety of settings including a community mental health center, a public psychiatric hospital, a college counseling center, adult and child residential treatment centers, and has been in private practice in Slidell for the past 22 years. He is a member of the American Psychological Association. He served as grassroots coordinator for state legislative action and federal advocacy coordinator for congressional action related to psychologists and their patients' issues for many years. He is an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He is married and has two adult children. Dr. Kidder enjoys playing tennis, canoeing, hiking in the mountains, acting, and program development.
